The CDS-escort-terminal enables the targeted and secure suppression of wander alarms when a person is leaving the monitored area under supervision. It serves as a central control unit through which authorised personnel can deactivate monitoring for defined periods of time.

As soon as a disoriented person is in the exit area, they are automatically detected and their name is displayed on the touchscreen. The accompanying person can then use an RFID tag to activate the alarm suppression and select the desired duration.

A key advantage is the reduced workload for care staff, as they no longer need to be called upon regularly to deactivate the alarm. At the same time, private relatives in particular benefit: the use of low-cost RFID tags, which can be issued on a permanent basis, allows for independent and flexible use on different days – entirely without the support of care staff.

The CDS Alarm Terminal serves as a local display and control unit for all alarms from a monitored passageway in CDS stand-alone mode. Incoming events are clearly displayed on the integrated 7-inch touchscreen, enabling nursing staff to respond quickly and appropriately.

Alarms are acknowledged conveniently and securely via RFID authentication. This ensures that alarms can be clearly assigned and acknowledged in a traceable manner. Optionally activatable audible signals further support the immediate detection of new alarms.

The terminal can be flexibly integrated into existing networks and supports both LAN and WLAN connections. Furthermore, external acoustic and visual signal devices can be connected to customise the alarm system to specific requirements.
