The RFID-dialler is designed as an alarm and message transmitter for operation on an analogue telephone interface within an Avaya SeCom call system. It is preferably used in care facilities.

The device is compatible with an Avaya SeCom-dialler-solo with nursing home call resetting.

Alarm triggering is possible both via an integrated emergency call button and via optionally connectable SeCom-compatible triggering components, such as pear pushbuttons, pullcords and a radio receiver for radio-based emergency call triggering. The RFID-dialler also supports an interface for connecting a SeCom resident telephone.

Alarm reset and caregiver identification are contactless via wear-free RFID tags. To set the caregiver presence, these are hung on a holding pin on the front of the device. As long as a tag is hanging there, the presence is considered to be set; as soon as it is removed again, this is recognised as a logout of the carer.

Triggered alarms are reported to the Avaya AVK alarm server and processed there.
